Egyptian Health House Lychee Will Open in Saudi Arabia

Yes, the Peri Peri chicken wraps are making their way to the kingdom.

Egypt's health haven and our office luncheon favorite, Lychee, is expanding its reach to Saudi Arabia. Known for its house-made Greek yogurts, voluminous salads, and succulent peri peri chicken wraps, Lychee's menu in Saudi Arabia promises tropical smoothies, guilt-free treats, and quick brunch options to power through neglected work emails in no time.

Originating in Cairo in 2012, Lychee's clean and soul-nourishing offerings have soared, becoming a staple in Egypt's health food scene. Fueled by Beltone Venture Capital's investment, this local health house is set to make a splash in the MENA region. Its inaugural Saudi branch is slated for a 2024 launch, marking a bold leap into new territories.

“This has been in the works for four years now. We saw potential in the Saudi Arabian market then, the same way we saw it in Egypt in 2012, and knew it would be the first big leap in our regional plan,” Mohamed Assy, founder and CEO of Lychee, tells SceneEats. “We’re hungry and as determined as ever to see the growth and expansion come to fruition in 2024 and beyond.”

Next time we are flying to Saudi, we can rest assured there will be no more side-eyes from airport security for sneaking a stash of Lychee’s yogurts into our luggage.
