Asmaa Hesham, AKA The Devil Wears an Apron, shows us a very, very easy way on how to make the ever so iconic chilli con carne.
3 tsp vegetable oil
2 bell pepper
6 garlic cloves
250 gm minced beef
2 cups tomato sauce
1 tsp thyme, paprika, cumin, chili powder, marjoram
1 can kidney beans
1 cup beef stock
3 tortilla wraps
salt and pepper to taste
In hot oiled pan, sauté chopped onion, bell peppers and minced garlic.
Add minced beef to, salt to taste and let cook.
Add tomato sauce, spices, kidney beans and stock. Leave it to simmer.
In an oven-safe pan, layer a bed of tortilla wraps and add the chili con carne and cheese.
Bake in a 180• oven for 15 mins, until the wraps toast and the cheese melts.
Garnish with sour cream and coriander.
