Spicy Rice Cake Tteokbokki Recipe

The Korean street staple brings together rice cakes, fish cakes, and sweet red paste.


  • spring onions

  • water

  • 2 tbsp red sweet paste

  • 4 tbsp honey

  • 2 slices fish cakes


  1. Combine the red sweet paste, honey, and some water.

  2. Add the rice cakes, green onions, and red sweet paste mixture to a pot and let simmer.

  3. Add the sliced fish cake once the rice cakes become tender and let simmer for an additional few minutes.

  4. Serve hot.
