They'll have your tante saying weird things like "tubular" and "far out man!"
1 cup flour
1.5 tbsp yeast
0.5 tsp sugar
1 cup clour
0.5 tbsp corn starch
pinch of salt
2 tbsp milk
225g cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 egg white
1 tsp vanilla
Mix the water, yeast, and half tablespoon of sugar. Let rest for 5 mins.
Combine the flour, corn starch, salt, milk, and yeast mixture. Cover and let rest for 30 mins.
As you wait for the batter to rise, mix the cream cheese, sugar, egg white, and vanilla with a hand mixer. Freeze for an hour.
Separate the batter into the number of food colours you have and mix the colours in.
Add a few teaspoons of each colour batter into a ladle and pour in a pan over medium heat.
Wait until the katayef is dry from the top and keep it under a towel until you've finished cooking the rest of the batter.
Add a spoonful of the cream mixture into one end of the katayef and pinch it half shut.
