Babbo's Taverna Heads to Mesca Beach for a 10-Day Eid Pop-Up

Egyptian cuisine made healthy, watersports, and DJs - what more does a summer need?

When Hannah Montana harmonised The Best of Both Worlds in 2006, our worlds were turned upside down. This Eid, Egyptian health house Babbo’s is bringing her philosophy to life, in an even better coastal setting than Montana’s show, in Soma Bay’s Mesca Beach. Instead of juggling both a life of stardom and the life of a teenage girl, though, we’ll be experiencing a delicious fusion of Mediterranean cuisine on the Red sea coast.

“Our menu features seafood specialities and traditional Egyptian mezzeh, all crafted with love and attention to detail,” Aboubakr of Babbo’s tells SceneEats, “From succulent seafood that will make your taste buds dance to holistically revamped Egyptian recipes that will warm your soul, we’ve got something for everyone.”

In the theme of Cocktails and Cabanas, an exciting DJ lineup brings life to the quiet sands and calm waves of Mesca Beach, while a spritzy cocktail menu mixes local ingredients with renowned international spirits. “Whether you’re lounging in our beach cabanas or dancing under the stars, Mesca Beach x Babbo’s Taverna is your playground.”

“We believe that every moment should be shared with those we love the most, which is why we’ve designed this pop-up to be family-friendly.” As lazy loungers enjoy Babbo’s boho chic decor, those who like a bit more action can indulge in leisurely paddle boarding and adrenaline-fueled kitesurfing a stone's throw away.

Babbo’s is well acquainted with the ways of Soma Bay, as it has long resided by the shore in the form of Babbo’s Taverna. The Mesca Beach pop-up, however, promises more joy for summering families. “Babbo’s Taverna is a lifestyle not a destination. Our beloved regulars will vouch for that.”
