Beloved Maadi Bakery Ratios Welcomes New ‘Underground’ Expansion

Dearest readers, you’ll be glad to hear that you no longer need to rush down to Ratios’ at 8 am on Fridays to snatch that sourdough before it runs out, because the iconic Maadi artisanal bakery has just gotten a whole lot bigger, better, and puffed up their oven-baked arsenal with a brand new branch - Ratios Underground.

Setting up shop at 13B Street 232 in Degla, Maadi, the new Ratios Underground (not quite literally underground, albeit slightly subterranean) takes the beloved bakery’s already fan-favorite story to new heights - lows, mayhaps? Negative connotations aside, of course.

The space, a vast enclosed area with panoramic glass ceilings, offers ample seating options with views of Maadi’s classic residences one upwards gaze away. A much-needed spatial upgrade, one can now linger guilt-free at Ratios without being called out for hogging. With a brand new menu in tow, you can enjoy signature baked goods, breakfast options, and more hearty brunch variations at the new Ratios Underground.
