Dulce is Taking Its Warm Cookie Dough Tins Out for Their First Pop-Up
Dulce's first pop-up gives cookie-dough enthusiasts a chance to meet their dessert in person.
Cookie dough has enjoyed a rather successful career as something people eat before it becomes a cookie. Cairo-based Dulce has built an entire dessert business around this preference, dispensing warm, sauce-laden tins of the stuff through home delivery.
On November 8th, the brand is making its first public appearance at Park St. West in Sheikh Zayed, where customers can finally acquire their cookie dough without involving a delivery driver.
There are three flavours: classic chocolate, Nutella and Kinder, each served warm, layered with sauce and finished with crunchy toppings. The arrangement goes by the name 'Brunch & Crunch,' which is a fairly ambitious interpretation of brunch, given that the principal ingredients appear to be chocolate and more chocolate.
Until now, Dulce has operated exclusively through delivery. Its first pop-up gives the city's cookie-dough enthusiasts an opportunity to meet their dessert in person, although whether this constitutes a meaningful improvement over eating it at home, directly from the tin, remains a matter of personal preference.
