Egyptian Chocolatier Mōko Chocolates is Now Open by the Pyramids
“When you’re standing in the shop, with the pyramids in view and an ice cream in your hand, it doesn’t get better than that.”
Mōko Chocolates, the Arkan Plaza haven for all things cocoa, has found a new sweet spot right by the Great Pyramids of Giza, with a brand-new branch offering a direct view of the Giza plateau. Since its opening in September 2021, this artisanal chocolate shop has been offering a mouthwatering range of handcrafted treats, from unconventional chocolate flavors like tahini and wasabi to indulgent gelato sticks dipped in rich chocolates and topped with everything from nuts to sprinkles.
“Honestly? It feels amazing. The pyramids and the Sphinx are a source of pride for any Egyptian. Having your brand right in front of them, associated with something iconic, is an incredible feeling,” Mahmoud Barakat, Founder & Managing Director of Mōko Chocolates, tells SceneEats. “When you’re standing in the shop, with the pyramids in view and an ice cream in your hand, it doesn’t get better than that,” Barakat adds.
While we’d definitely recommend running to the pyramids for some hot cocoa with a view, we’re glad to report that in case you find yourself unable to do so, you can order Mōko’s creations straight from the botit app (available on iOS and Android) for instant delivery.
