Khufu’s has secured the No.97 spot on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026 extended list, placing the Giza-based restaurant among the world’s top 100 dining destinations. The ranking, which covers positions No.51 to No.100, was announced ahead of the awards ceremony in Lima, Peru, on November 4th.

Located within the Giza Pyramid Complex, Khufu’s offers diners Egyptian cuisine alongside an unobstructed view of the pyramids. Part of the Pier 88 Group, the restaurant has carved out its own identity through a menu rooted in rural Egyptian cooking, led by executive chef Mostafa Seif, who won Top Chef Arabia in 2017. Working with flavours shaped by memory and local culinary traditions, Seif brings a contemporary perspective to Egyptian cuisine.

The latest recognition follows a significant year for Khufu’s. In 2025, the restaurant received the Resy One To Watch Award from The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, recognising its potential on the global dining scene. Last year, it also claimed the No.1 position on the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants list, becoming the first Egyptian restaurant to top the regional ranking after placing No.4 the previous year.

Khufu’s is one of two new Middle Eastern entries on this year’s global extended list, alongside Dubai’s FZN at No.88. The 2026 ranking spans 36 cities across six continents, with the positions No.1 to No.50 set to be announced next month.
