Otlob to Rebrand to Talabat, Providing 50,000 New Job Opportunities
The giant food delivery platform aims to keep up with the Egyptian market, allocating their resources to stay up to the standard.
Otlob, AKA the very well-known Egyptian food delivery service, has announced its rebranding under the name “Talabat”. This new alliance between Egypt's delivery giant and the GCC's takeaway empire will see a great expansion on a local level to further open up 50,000 new opportunities for freelance riders in Om El Donia, reaching eight new cities before 2021. This will bring about 55 million new potential customers.
The new Talabat app will be available by the 1st of September for a more user-friendly experience and a smooth ordering process, keeping the variety and affordability of its meals. The fact that Otlob’s performance hasn’t been affected by the huge demand during the challenging times of lock down is undeniable, which caused the business to keep up with the Egyptian market, allocating their resources to stay up to the standard.
Delivery Hero, parent company of Talabat (Otlob formerly), is expected to partner up with 2,000 new restaurants within the coming two months, starting from koshary carts to the multiple family-owned restaurants so that it meets different tastes and classes. In addition, the new application will offer 30 EGP meals alongside its monthly offers and packages.
