The Hole that Serves Coffee on Egypt's Streets is Coming Back
Cococo is teasing a new location - and a new hole in the wall - but has yet to reveal where its coffee portal will appear.
Cococo appears to be drilling again. The Maadi coffee spot, whose entire service model depends on a hand emerging from a square hole in the wall, has begun teasing a new location on social media - although it has declined to disclose where this next hole will be found.
The posts reveal just enough to establish that the caffeine portal is expanding, but not enough to help anyone locate it. It is an appropriately secretive announcement from a place that has turned architectural concealment into a business model. At Cococo, customers do not enter, sit down or encounter the person making their drink. They approach the wall, place an order and wait for the hand to appear.
For now, the new branch remains a hole without coordinates. Cococo is asking followers to guess where it will open next, extending the mystery until the wall - or its social-media manager - decides to talk.
