Cakes more often than not are usually sweet than savoury. In Sweden, however, savoury cakes actually reign supreme. If you haven't tried a savoury cake before, why not now since all you're doing (OR ABSOLUTELY SHOULD) is self-isolate. The Instapreneur started her business, well, on Instagram simply because she wanted to spoil us with her baking skills that will ultimately lead for all of us to try something most of us have not before: Fika. If you're wondering what hell is a fika? Let us tell you; fika is a concept, a state of mind, an attitude that is important for Swedish people. Fika basically means to make time for a break that is all to yourself every single day. In other words, fika is self-care, and self-care is Smörgåstårta.

You're probably wondering, again, what is a Smörgåstårta. It is a savoury cake that is very similar to a sandwich. The cake is a mix of salmon, shrimps, caviar and a secret dressing that is only known to Houta that transforms it into a Smörgåstårta. With layers of bread, all of these ingredients create a sandwich in the form of a cake. It’s basically a huge sandwich. Who doesn't love that? All your fishy cravings will for suresies be satisfied.
