This New Cairo Coffee Roasters Serves Actually Black Coffee
New Cairo's Black Milan made a black flat white.
Black coffee. Like, actually black. Not “a bit brown if you squint.” Not “milk-drowned with a hint of regret.” Just Black Milan in New Cairo showing up like: here’s your espresso, emotionally unavailable and visually committed to the bit.
Black Milan is a coffee-first spot: filtered brews, espresso, and straightforward drinks that stay close to the bean rather than hiding it. The standout is a “black flat white”—a flat white that arrives without the usual whitening part. The menu also covers the usual café supporting cast—matcha, croissants, pastries, and light breakfast bites—plus desserts like tiramisu if you’re staying longer than your caffeine allows.
The space is part of SC Roastery’s tasting and slow-bar concept, billed as Egypt’s first slow bar, with a presence in Eastlane by Urbnlanes in New Cairo, and Via Nirone in Milan—leaning into a more deliberate, coffee-focused way of serving rather than quick-service café culture.
