Acclaimed Cairo-based pizzeria What The Crust isn’t hibernating for the winter. On the contrary, they’ve doubled their momentum with plans to update their menu, meticulously tailoring it to their customers’ tastes, wants and needs. And what greater need is there than for a mouthful of masterfully-kneaded dough with absurdly fresh toppings? Set for release across their three branches in Maadi, the Drive and Capital Promenade, What The Crust is moving four pizzas from their Specials Board and into the spotlight!
Available now is the WTC’s first theme, Sausage and Potatoes, a concept that had been brought to life by partner and chef Yassine Shokeir. The menu boasts four toppings: SALSICCIA E CAVOLO, for a sauteed kale sausage fiasco; PATATE AL ROSMARINO, for a creamy yet zesty experience; PATATE E SALSICCIA, a delicate yet spicy endeavour; and LA CARNIVORA, a meatier option featuring salami, sausages and bresaola.
What The Crust will be keeping a close eye to see which of these pizzas will survive the literal hunger games and earn a permanent place in their new menu. There will also be more themes and, with them, more toppings for you to really chew on as judge, jury and executioner over the next few weeks.
