Drip by Tortina Is Every Sweet Tooth's New Sahel Pit Stop

If your ideal Sahel itinerary includes a coffee in one hand and dessert in the other, there's a new stop to add to the list. Drip by Tortina has arrived in Telal and Swan Lake, bringing specialty coffee, soft serve, warm desserts and customisable sweet treats to the North Coast.Best known for its celebration cakes, Tortina is taking a different approach with Drip. Instead of desserts made to share, the concept focuses on individual indulgences made for beach days, coffee runs and post-swim sugar cravings. "Tortina has always been associated with cakes made to bring people together," says Mayar Hassan Mounir, Digital Operations Specialist at Tortina. "With Drip, we wanted to create something that's more spontaneous and personal. You can stop by whenever you're craving something sweet, whether it's just for yourself or to grab on the go."

The menu spans everything from scoop cookies, molten cakes and chocolate brownies to chilled favourites like tres leches and tiramisu. There are also cream puffs, cinnamon rolls, freshly baked cookies and brownies, alongside the option to build your own Drip Cup with soft serve, baked treats and toppings including Nutella drizzle, salted caramel sauce, honeycomb, caramel popcorn and hazelnut crunch.

The drinks menu is equally extensive, featuring specialty coffees, iced drinks, mojitos and fresh juices, making it as much a stop for a caffeine fix as it is for something to cool down with.

"We wanted Drip to feel like summer," Mounir says. "Everything from the menu to the concept was designed with the North Coast in mind. It's light, fun and easy to enjoy between beach stops, and we felt Sahel was the perfect place to introduce the brand."

Drip is spending its debut season on the North Coast, with plans to bring the concept to Cairo in the future.
