Nara is Madinaty’s Latest Levantine Hostpot for All Things Lebanese

Embrace the big-hitters of Levantine Arab cuisine, with grilled meats, manoucheh, and hot and cold mezze galore.

Patrick Davies

We are all understandably very proud of Egyptian food. Nobody can take that away from us. But our brothers and sisters across the Arab world are also doing bits in the kitchen, with more and more spots popping up in Egypt by the day. Amongst all that variety, Lebanese food has always been a standout big-hitter in the regional cuisine game.

In the eastern reaches of Cairo’s suburban sprawl, Madinaty’s Nara is plating up some properly authentic dishes, from grilled meats and manoucheh to hot and cold mezze favourites like stuffed vine leaves, tabbouleh and fattoush salads, and batata harra. Keep your eyes peeled for some more fusion flavours thrown into the menu too, like the baked Tikka Pie.

The overflowing variety of flavour, texture and colour in Nara’s Lebanese offerings is not to be passed up, especially since they also deliver to Shorouk, Rehab and New Cairo - you’re fast running out of excuses to miss out on sampling the tender loving Levantine care that goes into each overflowing plate.
