Alexandria's Mendoza Serves Pistachio Cream-Filled Donuts

Alexandrians tread lightly and indulge with decorum - as much as humanely possible of course - because we found a spot that serves succulent brownies and pistachio cream-filled donuts. Ever since Ramadan closed its spiritual curtains on cream-filled pies and dense 3 AM cravings, very little amongst our peripheral surroundings was able to ignite a similar yearning. Many have attempted to bridge the stark gap between socially acceptable breakfast food and candied heart-disease inducers and few have succeeded at cultivating a suitable creation. Here to whisk together (pun intended) home-grown treats and innovative twists is Alexandria’s Mendoza.Reminiscent of every individual’s baking phase, Mendoza captures the series of images we envision - and somehow spectacularly convince - ourselves baking at the early hours of the morning as Taylor Swift’s ‘Folklore’ blares in the background. Perfectly saturated dollops of fresh frosting lining luscious layers of sponge cake, warm cookies that crumble to the touch and doughy donuts overflowing with silky cream.
