Chef Karim Abdelrahman Hosts Mother’s Day Pop-up in Sheikh Zayed
Chef Karim Abdelrahman hosts a Mother’s Day pop-up at Walk of Cairo with a set menu from saffron velouté to crème brûlée.
Mother’s Day dinners tend to follow a familiar script: a full table, a full stomach, and a mother who, ideally, does not have to organise any of it.
Chef Karim Abdelrahman (Avec Karim) is offering a version of that script at Le Bistrot in Walk of Cairo, where he will host a one-day pop-up built around a set menu that serves as a smorgasbord of flavours and textures.
It begins simply, with a mini baguette and salted French butter, before moving into a blood orange, fennel and feta salad. A saffron seafood velouté follows, then black truffle agnolotti, and beef served two ways - braised and roasted. Dessert closes the meal with a raspberry and lemon verbena crème brûlée.
The pop-up runs for one day only, with reservations available online.
