Dara’s Ice Cream Puts a Chill Twist on Classic Ramadan Sweets
Dara’s Ice Cream reimagines Ramadan desserts — from baklava to dates — in a seasonal frozen lineup available all month.
Just ahead of Ramadan, Dara’s Ice Cream has introduced a seasonal menu that translates a range of familiar desserts into frozen form, aligning with the flavours that typically define the month.
Among the additions are bite-sized ice pops in toffee, halawa and baklava, each distilling flavors typically reserved for Ramadan tables into a smaller, frozen format. Two ice cream cakes extend the idea. The toffee cake combines layers of vanilla ice cream with halawa ghazal and toasted biscuit, finished with a thin chocolate shell. The baklava cake takes its cues from the classic pastry, translating its honeyed sweetness and nutty depth into a sliceable ice cream version.
The menu also includes a date bar that foregrounds the fruit’s natural caramel undertones, packaged in a box that anticipates sharing. A new dessert, Alf Leila w Leila, offers a streamlined take on honey cake, topped with honeycomb and fine sugar, while Honeycomb Mango pairs ripe mango with pieces of crisp honeycomb.
Rounding out the selection are Egyptian staples such as cream caramel and rice pudding, each available with an added scoop of ice cream. The Ramadan menu is being offered at all Dara’s Ice Cream branches throughout the month.
