Egypt's Street Food Trucks Can Now Get Licensed

A much needed decision taken by the Cairo Governor stating that all mobile food units must have a license or permit to operate their unit throughout the streets of Cairo have been put in place. This license will take care of so many problems that may arise regarding these mobile units.

How does one get this permit, you ask? Simple! Fill out the application and follow easy rules and regulations to ensure you won’t be facing any random penalties or getting a misdemeanor, yikes.

For starters, you need to decide where in Cairo you would like to sell your delicious food. Once that has been decided, all else is a downhill battle- don't worry. You must be 18 years or older, be an Egyptian citizen and provide verification for that, and finally, have a valid license in order to operate the unit. Finally, which is probably the longest step, is to ensure your unit is approved by the National Food Safety Authority.
