MOISHI Café Is Finally Landing in New Cairo
Which means it’s about to be sando-heaven until we can’t breathe.
The average Cairene mall-dweller is likely to be extensively familiar with Egyptian mochi and boba spot MOISHI - so familiar, in fact, that the mere mention of it evokes a warm sensation of nostalgia. At some point during MOISHI’s Cairene reign, the spot’s simple black-and-white logo came to feel like home - at least, for those of us who love some really good mochi and slurp-able boba.
Just when we thought our beloved MOISHI could never change, it surprised us with a brand new concept: MOISHI Café. With an existing branch up their portfolio in Arkan Plaza, this new and upgraded MOISHI offers the same beloved concoctions we’re used to alongside an entirely novel menu of Japanese cuisine-influenced dishes.
MOISHI Café’s specialty dish is the simple sando, a sumptuous, multi-layered Japanese sandwich that’s cut up into four equal pieces, each of which are made with a perfectly crunchy edge whilst maintaining a certain softness at the centre. The sando is stacked with ingredients that are partly imported from Japan, and partly handpicked from Egypt’s best offerings.
Besides their crown jewel, MOISHI Café will also serve an extensive range of breakfast dishes, such as poached-egg-everything, toasts, appetisers and salads - all with their own unique Japanese twist. MOISHI Café’s second branch just opened in Cairo Festival City Mall, New Cairo, to allow the residents of the east a taste of the good life.
