You Can Now Drink Your Electrolytes in Teddy Bear Form at Pink Palms
Pink Palms puts Waterkind’s sparkling electrolytes into teddy-bear bottles, in Peach Glow and Pink Refresh flavours locally.
Electrolytes, having spent years dressed as sachets, sports drinks and sternly practical tablets, have now assumed the shape of a teddy bear. Pink Palms, the boba and K-food spot known for serving drinks in its bear-shaped bottles, has filled the familiar container with sparkling electrolytes from Egyptian hydration brand Waterkind.
The collaboration comes in two flavours - Peach Glow and Pink Refresh - both carbonated and designed for the increasingly crowded interval between drinking something functional and ordering something because the bottle has ears. It is hydration presented with the logic of a collectible: useful enough to justify, cute enough to photograph and structurally difficult to discard.
The Waterkind drinks are now available at Pink Palms in Lake District at Mivida, Ivory Business Park, The Hub at Marassi, La Vista Bay and La Vista Cascada. The teddy bear, once emptied, presumably faces the highest honour available to attractive packaging: being taken home and kept indefinitely.
