Katakito…But Make it Gourmet - Koshk Kreations with Mido Eats
Give Mido a chocolate bar and he will stare at it the way engineers stare at blueprints, which is exactly why we handed him a Katakito and said, “Go forth. Create.”
Scene Eats is resurrecting Koshk Kreations, the show where perfectly innocent koshk snacks find themselves drafted into culinary careers they did not ask for. To help supervise this mildly chaotic operation, we brought in Mido Eats - a man (food photographer, videographer maestro, self-taught chef) who has spent more than a decade cooking with the intensity of someone defusing a bomb. Give Mido a chocolate bar and he will stare at it the way engineers stare at blueprints, which is exactly why we handed him a Katakito and said, “Go forth. Create.”
The result? An ice-cream cake so neatly layered it suggests the Katakito bar has been secretly attending pastry school at night. Mido assembles it with the kind of finesse that implies he has backup plans for his backup plans, and possibly an emotional support whisk somewhere off-camera.
It’s the ideal way to kick off Koshk Kreations’ comeback: cinematic, surprisingly elegant, and fully committed to the noble mission of giving Egypt’s favourite snacks a chance to reinvent themselves - whether they like it or not.
