Inspired by mid-century Cairo, Charlie’s is the new Korba eatery modelled after the essence of Heliopolis in the 1900’s. Serving us straight Art Deco on a plate, this new joint will send you back in time to one of Gatsby’s cocktail parties— flapper costume not included.
We’ll get to the food in just a second. First, we want to take a moment to discuss just how fab the eatery’s decor is. Their lush interiors are nothing short of a five-star hotel’s lobby, with gorgeous velvet details and deep indigo walls.
As for the menu, that’s pretty good too. Charlie’s has a wide brunch selection, with fresh avocado toasts, pancakes, smoked salmon omelettes. For dinner selections, grilled salmon with green risotto, roasted beef tenderloin, and grilled octopus are just a few of their selections. Our favourite part though? Mango ice cream bars for dessert.
