Copa Açaí Added Kunafa, Molasses & Tahini to Their Bowls for Ramadan
It had to happen at some point.
If Ramadan has taught us anything, it’s that no flavour is off limits once kunafa enters the group chat.
Copa Açaí just added kunafa, molasses, and tahini to their bowls as part of their Ramadan lineup, and out of everything on the menu, this is the one that made us pause. Molasses and tahini are the flavour pairing that belongs on baladi bread, folded wedn otta style, eaten standing in the kitchen. Seeing it spooned over a chilled açaí base takes a second to process.
But the logic is there. The nuttiness of tahini, the deep sweetness of molasses, the crunch of kunafa on top of something cold and fruity. It reads nostalgic, just reframed. Less bakery counter, more smoothie bowl.
For those easing into the season, the Ramadan menu also includes Kunafa bel Eshta and Medjool Kunafa, keeping things closer to the familiar.
The full lineup is available at all Copa Açaí branches throughout Ramadan.
