Di Carlo Has Got a Pizza of Everyone's Heart in Rehab City and We're Here for It

Who said you have to go to Italy to have some real Italian pizza? Literally no one. Italian pizzas are known for their fresh and fluffy pizza dough with crunchy crusts and delicious fresh toppings and that stringy mozzarella cheese. It’s so hard to find a pizza that tastes like that in Egypt without having the occasional koshary sauce as your pizza sauce. Cringe. This is where Di Carlo comes in where it promises to be one of those few spots that serves actual Italian pizza. Oh, here’s the thing, it’s located in Rehab City, making it the first there to ever offer such a dish.

Let's talk about family history for a second. In the 1970s, the Di Carlo family opened up their first pizza oven shop in downtown Rome. They were instantly known for breaking the traditional pizza schemes at the time where ovens were usually only limited to baking and churning out dry pastries. They said nope and used this oven to bake fresh pizzas and dough on the daily, giving them a top pizza ranking in Italy. Fast forward a decade or so, it has now landed in Cairo! This cute little pizzeria offers pizza, duh, Italian desserts like tiramisu and a cute little Italian coffee bar. It’ll make you feel like you're sitting in the middle of your favourite cafe in Rome. 

Their pizza menu has everything from beef to vegetarian to chicken. Oh, and they also serve pasta. You can find them by Gate 23.
