This Egyptian Brand Wants to Start a Beef Jerky Revolution

People tend to overlook how amazing breakfast can be. Aside from being the healthiest meal of the day and all of that stuff, we usually just get busy adulting while forgetting that we need to stop and smell the coffee and embrace the sunny side up. That's why we always try to remember to savour every bit of that morning meal. But, there is one thing that has always been missing from our perfect breakfast. Whether we were eating fava and falafel or a short stack of maple-covered pancakes, we could always do with a little jerky. 

Jerky has been obviously absent from our daily lives for long enough -- mostly because it's not that accessible tbh. Someone had to do something about that, and that's exactly what Khaled Abdel Ghaffar decided to do when he started The Lean Jerky Company. Yup, beef jerky in Cairo is totally a thing now. It's handcrafted in small batches made from prime cuts of the thickest beef there is. With no processing, additives or preservatives it's not just addictively delicious but also super healthy. The protein-filled snacks are keto and paleo-friendly, so it's safe to share the jerky with all your gym buddies instead of doing all that heavy lifting (JK don't do that). 

They have three flavours; original, teriyaki and their iconic chili lime. They still have plenty more to come, with a new vegan-friendly product that we are just dying to try. "We want everyone to make our jerky part of their daily diets and become more health-oriented," Abdel Ghaffar tells us and we 100% agree that you should stop whatever you're doing and have some jerky.
