Kebdet El Falah Has Finally Landed in Cairo
The OG Kebdet El Falah is officially opening in El Korba on November 27th. Yes, the same sandwich you used to beg friends to smuggle back from Alex.
For years, Cairo people pretended they were “just going to Alex for the weekend,” but we all know the truth: they were going for that sandwich. The one you inhale. The one that made full-grown adults run laps around El Mansheya at 2AM because “15 kebda isn’t enough, bring another 10.” Alexandrians built their entire personality around being within delivery radius of Kebdet El Falah, and Cairenes built theirs around begging anyone returning from Alex to “just get me three kedba El Falahs with you.”
This is the place that made people queue endlessly for sohour, casually ignoring the fact that they had to fast the next day like nothing happened. Yoghurt? Forget it. El Falah owned Ramadan nights, summer nights, winter nights, basically every night.
And now? It’s happening. The original Kebdet El Falah is opening in Cairo and El-Hagg Waheed El Falah himself announced it.
The first branch opens Thursday, November 27th, right in El Korba in Heliopolis next to the Modghout Dajaj spot; a location so central it might cause traffic negotiations at cabinet level.
Alex, we’re sorry in advance. You are about to lose your monopoly.
