Milkyway: The Cairo Bakery Making Tres Leches Great Again
The dessert is quite popular in Mexico and Latin America, but Milkyway aims to, unlike fetch, make it happen in Cairo.
When one thinks of Mexican food, you think of guac, you think of salsa, you don’t necessarily think of tres leches. Here to change that way of thinking is the city’s newest cloud bakery: Milkyway.

If you’re not familiar with the tres leches cake, we honestly feel jelly because you’ll get to experience it for the very first time and your life will forever be changed. Tres leches literally means “three milks,” and it’s basically an ultra light sponge cake soaked in a sweet milk mixture. The dessert is quite popular in Mexico and Latin America, but Milkyway aims to, unlike fetch, make it happen.
“Our tres leches stand out because they’re freshly baked by the order,” says owner Yomna Sorour to SceneEats. “Our secret, however, is making them extra moist.”

Another brownie point Milkyway gets is that you can order on the actual day and still get your tres leches, however, it’s best to give them a one day notice. All you have to do is slide into their DMs and get your tres leches life started.
