One of our favourite restaurants, Reif, known for bending the Japanese cuisine with their unconventional dining experience, is back at it this Ramadan with their inventive approach towards Egypt’s favourite dessert: Om Ali.  

Reif managed to infuse both Japanese and Egyptian cultures in crafting this ingenious dessert that is now called Matcha Om Ali. Blending both dried fruit and matcha as the initial toppings of the puff pastry, replacing your standard raisin and nut toppings, ultimately birthing a new deliciously conceptual treat.
