Tea Tales Tells the Story of our Interconnectedness Through Blends
With Local Hibiscus from Aswan, Green Tea from China, Cinnamon Tea from Indonesia, Tea Tales is literally bringing the world together with a cup of tea.
Twisted fusion tea blended to perfection for a good cause, Tea Tales is shaking up the loose tea game with their hand-sorted blends sourced from all over the world. Tea Tales is all about fusion—borrowing flavours from everywhere to hand-craft peculiar, unfamiliar blends. The fusion is not only about the ingredients, it’s also about the interweaving of human experiences in each chapter of the tale.
Tea Tales’ story is divided into chapters, with each one shedding light on the human experiences of the individual who will benefit from the profits. Their first Tea collection is named after women in their native languages of Swahili and Yoruba. 10% of the profits go towards supporting their local businesses in collaboration with NGOS. Their first tea chapter highlights the experiences and hardships faced by African women refugees living in Egypt.
With Local Hibiscus from Aswan, Green Tea from China, Cinnamon Tea from Indonesia, Tea Tales is literally bringing the world together with a cup of tea. They come together with their experiences, cultures, color, climate that resulted in such splendid ingredients.
Founder Nadine Serag is just 22 but has a big vision of our interconnectedness and is trying to tell that story through her hand-crafted artisanal teas. The blends are sorted using high-quality ingredients with origins in China, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and India with 100% eco-friendly packaging. Serag tells SceneEats, “Everything about Tea Tales is different. From the unfamiliar blends that took over a year of experimenting, with 100% natural dried fruits, and different herbs, to the good cause that turns your everyday cup of tea into a meaningful encounter.”
Also, each jar has a QR code for their perfectly-curated teatime playlist on Spotify. Tea time is a whole mood and they know that.
