Watch Out, Egyptian Baristas, Because This Robot Is on Its Way to Steal Your Jobs

The future is coming to Om El Donia, and it's black... with a shot of espresso.

Let's face it. Humans are flawed. And nowhere are the blemishes upon the human race more clear than at the coffee shop, where stressed-out baristas run the risk of messing up your order and mispronouncing your name. Like how many vowels do people think is in "Bob", anyway? Soon, the uncertainties of the personal touch will be replaced by the cold, reliable claws of technology.

For the first time in Egypt, YuMI the robot barista will be featured at the HACE Hotel Expo, which will be held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre from October 28th to October 31st. If you ever wanted a machine to use a machine to make a cup of coffee, then this is your chance.  And if you can't make it to the expo, don't worry too much. According to a local media outlet, KIMBO Restaurant & Cafe in Egypt have discussed plans to launch YuMI in their own establishments in the near future.  However, we can't confirm if or when that may happen.

Let us know in the comments below - does this change the future of coffee or is this latest innovation a dud?
