Woofers Makes Fresh, Homemade and All-Natural Treats for your Doggos
Woofers are giving your doggos the royal treatment they deserve through its collection of organic range of dog treats and cakes, made with love.
Every dog owner can pretty much relate to the same struggle: how do we make sure our doggos know that they’re the ‘goodest’ boys or girls in the world? Well, the answer for that would probably be treats. But because most treats contain a bunch of chemicals and preservatives (ever wonder why the bags always give you a daily limit to how many treats you can give them?) it’s always a concern. A local dog treat brand – Woofers – makes its homemade dog treats and cakes from 100% natural ingredients without adding any elements we wouldn’t eat as humans.
“We do more than just aim to make our treats fit for dogs,” Madonna Wanis – who founded the brand after struggling to get her balady rescue dog, Coupy to eat - tells SceneEats, “Our treats and cakes would actually be healthy and fit to be eaten by a child with a weak immunity.”
Woofers sell three types of treats: Crunchies (which are essentially dog biscuits), Frozzies (frozen yoghurt and fruit treats) and Cakes (including dog cakes and cake bites). Unlike most other brands, which make homemade dog treats from leftovers, Woofers makes it a point to use fresh food, even making minced meat out of steak to make sure you’re aware of the sources of each ingredient in the treats. Wanis uses meat, vegetables, flour, milk, cheese, peanut butter, fruits, yoghurt and other wholefoods to make its treats, cakes and desserts.
The brand is currently working on making dog treats that cater to different allergies or health problems, and will soon be launching their gluten-free line of products.
