Crimson Coast Brings Mediterranean Dining to Egypt's Silversands

There is a particular kind of summer day that starts with no plans and stretches long after sunset. A swim that turns into lunch, a table you stay at for hours, a cocktail enjoyed as the sky changes colour before giving way to a night spent lingering over dinner and music. This summer, Crimson is bringing that feeling to the North Coast with the opening of Crimson Coast at Silversands.

Set along the shoreline of Silversands, Crimson Coast brings together beachside access, a swimming pool and a Mediterranean dining experience that flows from relaxed afternoons into vibrant evenings. The opening comes as Crimson marks 10 years of creating dining and nightlife experiences in Egypt. The space is designed for long lunches by the water, sunset drinks and dinners that carry on into the night.

The menu takes inspiration from the Mediterranean, built with a focus on fresh seafood, premium grilled meats and dishes made for sharing. Guiding the culinary direction is Michelin-starred Greek chef Panagiotis Giakalis, known for a style of cooking that balances Mediterranean tradition with a lighter, more contemporary approach. Guests can expect dishes such as sea bass ceviche with charred corn and passion fruit, grilled octopus with hummus and tahini, prawn saganaki with feta and basil, and lobster linguine with cherry tomatoes and lobster butter. Alongside seafood, the menu features premium cuts from the grill, including US Black Angus rib eye and striploin, as well as Mediterranean-inspired classics like chicken souvlaki and fresh salads.

For those spending the day by the beach or pool, Crimson Coast also offers a selection of lighter bites, including shrimp tacos, a lobster roll, fish burger and tuna potato croquettes, designed for relaxed dining between swims and cocktails.

As the sun begins to dip, the atmosphere shifts towards handcrafted cocktails, curated music and live entertainment, with weekend experiences and sunset sessions taking place throughout the summer. The bar experience draws on Greek cocktail culture through a programme developed by Thanos Krimpouras and Christina Foka, the founders of Athens-based cocktail destination Naked Athens, bringing a Mediterranean approach to drinks by the water. At Crimson Coast, guests are invited to settle in, stay a little longer and ease into the rhythm of a North Coast summer.
