Dubai’s Sunset Hospitality Group to Bring Exciting New Brands to Egypt

Ever been on vacation to Dubai? If you had a good time, it’s likely because you’ve been to one of the dozens of venues propped up by Sunset Hospitality Group (SHG), the leading hospitality management company in the city. From Goldfish Sushi and Yakitori’s old-fashioned Japanese cuisine to Joe’s Backyard’s Westernised casual gastropub environment where you can shoot some pool, SHG brought a little bit of everything to Dubai, with locations in Bahrain, Lebanon, Turkey and more. Now they’re extending their reach just a bit further by bringing some of that Dubai glamour to Egypt.

As part of a joint venture with Dex Squared Hospitality, SHG will operate its portfolio of brands in Egypt, ushering in never-before-seen hospitality and lifestyle concepts. Although they haven’t announced which brands will come to Egypt yet, we can take a look at some of their upcoming expansions in nations like Saudi Arabia (with two Black Tap locations and one for Luigia), the United Kingdom (Black Tap again), and Spain (METT Hotel & Beach Resort, Foie Restaurant & Sea, and Lola Taberna) for some guesses. Could we be seeing a Black Tap Cairo in our future? Or are they going to expand Egypt’s already-dynamic dining scene with something we can’t even imagine yet?
