Indulge in An Oasis-Like Ambiance at Four Seasons Hotel Nile Plaza's
Expect to indulge in Lebanese classics such as kibbeh, fatteh, and specialties served family-style.
Amidst the growing popularity of Lebanese concepts in Cairo, Byblos has emerged as the latest addition to the dining scene at Four Seasons Hotel Nile Plaza, offering a captivating culinary journey through the vibrant flavours, enticing aromas, and the rich colours of authentic Lebanese cuisine.
Nestled in the heart of Cairo, this restaurant presents modern interpretations of classic Lebanese dishes, expertly crafted by Executive Chef Chadi Bayram, a seasoned culinary talent. Chef Bayram brings his passion for Lebanese cuisine, cultivated during his youth in Lebanon, to every dish. Having embarked on a culinary journey that spanned continents, Chef Chadi honed his skills by leading kitchens in Lebanese restaurants across Vietnam, India, and Cairo, where he helmed the local outlet of a prestigious five-star international chain. With Byblos, Chef Chadi showcases the heart and soul of Lebanese cuisine through inspired shared dishes, including hot and cold mezzeh, kibbeh and fatteh, as well as distinctive specialties served family-style.
Among the highlights are the succulent braised chargrilled lamb shank, mouthwatering chicken shawarma, flavorful Lebanese mashawi, and charcoal-grilled lamb chops, accompanied by an array of condiments and sides. "Lebanese cuisine is deeply rooted in my identity, and I am delighted to share it with our guests at Byblos," Chadi tells Scene Eats. "As with all of the hotel's dining concepts, the exceptional quality of ingredients and the expertise of our team set Byblos apart within Cairo's diverse Lebanese dining scene."
No meal at Byblos is complete without indulging in the inspired signature Lebanese desserts created by Executive Pastry Chef Yehia Ahmed, who has been leading the pastry kitchen at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza. Chef Ahmed's ‘Lebanese Sweet Treats’ include tantalising delights such as Lebanese layered baklava, Tarabolsi rice pudding, and kunafa pistachio, each accompanied by a unique regional-flavoured ice cream.
With an ambiance designed by renowned French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, guests are enveloped in Byblos’ relaxed charm the moment one steps through the door. Situated in an indoor-outdoor space just a stone's throw away from the hotel's open-air swimming pool, the restaurant boasts a soothing interior adorned with beige banquettes, tall white columns, and a mirrored ceiling that resembles French doors. Pastel shades of green and blue, reminiscent of the lush Beqaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, adorn the decorative ceramics, wall art, and pillows. The dark green marble floor extends from the interior to the outdoor patio, which allows diners to bask in the sunlight streaming through the slatted wood roof, offering glimpses of the expansive blue sky and the pool area surrounded by well-maintained greenery.
The patio also provides an enchanting setting for enjoying shisha, accompanied by a selection of exotic water pipe flavours, under the stars. Byblos restaurant welcomes guests seven days a week, serving lunch and dinner from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
