One such spot is ‘Dar Lalla’ a catering service which serves all kinds of authentic Moroccan dishes, and delivers them to your doorstep. The spot taken on a no-frills approach to the beloved cuisine, looking to make you feel just like you’ve physically travelled to Morocco.

Some of the classics you can order include the iconic harissa soup, as well as lentil and shrimp soups, in addition to salads like eggplant zaalouk, taktouka (meat cooked with mixed bell peppers, Moroccan spices, and tomato sauce), plus chicken, beef and vegetable couscous. In true Moroccan fashion, the service also offers beef tajine with prunes, cauliflower or potatoes, and kofta or chicken tajine (with one of the chicken tajines featuring, honey, pistachios and dried apricots). If you’re more of a seafood stan, you could opt for the spot’s shrimp or fish kofta tajines, too. For dessert, Dar Lalla offers the traditional Moroccan pancake dish ‘Baghrir’.

‘Dar Lalla’ deliver across Cairo, with orders needing to be made at least 24 hours in advance.
