Located in the heart of downtown El Gouna, Bongoyo restaurant pays homage – which its very diverse menu – to the flavours of Africa, which opened in October of this year. Sporting dishes from South Africa, Kenya, Congo, Senegal and more, the restaurant aims to take trips on a culinary journey across the continent, all the while filling in a bite-shaped gap in El Gouna market for African cuisine option, not to mention a range of delicious cocktails inspired by and using African ingredients. 

If you’re here for the appetizers, some of the dishes you can expect to find is a South African Bloomin’ Onion, Zulu Bun Bites (South African vetkoek buns filled with pulled beef and raisins) and spicy chicken wings. You could also opt for the famed West African peanut soup, the West African lamb shoulder, South African tomahawk state, Congo burger and the Senagalese favourite, Yassa Chicken (chicken cooked with caramelized onions).
