PSA: Maadi Gets a Brand New Spot Serving Nothing but Taiwanese Street Food
Honouring Taiwanese street food, Shihlin Taiwan Street snacks serves, fried chicken, fries, rice and more.
Over the years, Egypt has become rife with cuisines from across Far East Asia (we’re looking at you, Maadi): including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Filipinx and other cuisines. What Egypt is lacking though – is enough options for the wonderfulness that is Taiwanese food. Looking to change that is an international spot that has just landed in Cairo: Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks, which serves street food similar to what you’ve find in Taiwanese street food. The spot has branches in the US, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
With a short and sweet menu – typical of the nature of street food - some of the items you can find on their menu includes crispy chicken and rice box, popcorn chicken rice box and sweet potato fries.
You can find ‘Shihilin Taiwan Street Snacks’ at The Courtyard Maadi on Palestine Street.
