New Recipe Video Reveals How Ancient Egyptians Used to Eat Lentils
You can finally walk AND eat like an (Ancient) Egyptian.
We all love a good shorbet 3ads. Why, you ask? Because it's shorbet 3ads, y'all! Let us tell you, however, that our ancestors also had a thing for lentils. The Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities have just released a video that shows just that and we are absolutely here for it.
The recipe is believed to be the earliest known written recipe from Om El Donia, giving that it was written on a piece of papyrus back from the third century AD. This lentil dish shows the continuity in our long and vast history of Egyptian cuisine, and how 3ads used to be made back in the day until the very day we live in right now.
With Miss Rona running amok outside, there's no better time to make this dish at home and eat like your Ancient Egyptian ancestors.
