We Tried The Most Famous Pizza In the World
Spoiler alert: it’s available in New Cairo’s Fizza.

Most pizzas come with their fan bases. Neapolitan has its wood-fired loyalists who talk in hydration percentages. Chicago deep dish appeals to those who like their pizza to double as a weightlifting set. And then there’s Spontini - the thick-cut Milanese classic you’ve heard of in passing, usually from someone who once studied abroad and can’t seem to quite let it go.
So when New Cairo’s Fizza teased a soft opening on Instagram - complete with fleeting glimpses of what looked suspiciously like Spontini - we did what any self-respecting publication would do: assembled a highly specialised, borderline cinematic production crew (read: one content creator) and rolled out our finest gear (an iPhone and a tripod). All to witness, and finally try, one of the most name-dropped slices in global pizza lore.
