TikTok's Latest Trend #FetaPasta Makes It to Egypt

It seems like #lockdown continues to get the best of us, pushing us to try new things out of pure and sheer boredom. And because of the beauty of the internet, a random trend that started in Norway went viral on TikTok and obvs made its way to the Arab world. Yes, we are talking about the #FetaPasta trend!

Chefs and food bloggers like @eman_inthekitchen, @nadthefabdiary and @emannaguibs were among the ones that hopped on the trend (who can blame them tbh?). The trend's allure is in its simplicity because it's literally just a sauce made with cherry tomatoes, olive oil, feta cheese and some spices, all cooked together in the oven and then mixed with some pasta, and voila, you get the feta oasta! This dish even made an appearance on @cbcsofra!

If you don’t have cherry tomatoes, regular tomatoes will do. Serve it with a side of lesan asfour soup and some baladi salad, and you get a proper meal! That's how we're going to do it, hbu?
