Zooba Adds Ta'meya Dough to Their Menu

The Ta’meya wound hath healed.

Farida El Shafie

Coming to terms with long ta’meya queues is but an annual passtime for most. In order to indulge in the coveted dish, one must hunt down a restaurant that caters to their - and their family’s neighbour’s dog’s - taste buds as a means to circumvent unsolicited Eid dramedies. That said, in an attempt to cushion family Friday falls, coveted breakfast hotspot Zooba just added Ta’meya dough to their menu.

To most, these platefuls will last around 45 minutes (on a good day) upon purchase, fueling lunches and dinners despite the dishes collecting dust in nationwide fridges. To others, their cult favourite recipe will be stored (alongside 10 more platefuls) in a freezer until the morning comes to water down the weekday woes.
