Dining out of to-go containers has become part of the new normal, and it’s no longer limited to dinner, drinks and dessert. Even charcuterie boards, those ridiculously fancy pre-entree favorites, are now made to order in pre-packaged boxes that are perfect to have at home -- which is exactly where Les Gastronomes comes into place.
Much like many of the businesses we write about, Les Gastronomes was also a product of the pandemic. "When COVID hit, we had too much time on our hands and we decided as a couple to start the business we've always wanted to launch," Abdullah Ragab and Arwa Abou Shakra, the founders of the brand, tell SceneEats. "There's a specific art to charcuterie boards. You can't just throw a bunch of cheeses and fruits and call it a day. And that is why we had to make Les Gastronomes."
