Eat Nabati Is the New Vegan Egyptian Eatery Blessing Canada
Bringing homemade Egyptian food and plant-based sustainability into one, Eat Nabati is making a mark on the Toronto food scene.
Newly opened in the 6ix, Eat Nabati is the plant-based Egyptian eatery which has already been ranked among the top ten takeout spots in Toronto by blogTO. Celebrating Egyptian cuisine, which is heavily plant-based although we don’t always notice it, while promoting sustainability is definitely a win this joint takes the cake for.
The food joint was founded by Israa Ali, the owner and founder of the eatery who started this passion project as a result of her career in nutrition. From falafel, kosher, cauliflower, eggplant, which are all naturally plant-based to substituted dishes like their ‘Mama Shawerma’ which uses a soy-based alternative, their selections are no different than what you would find at any regular authentic Egyptian eatery.
Ultimately, the goal behind the restaurant is to promote veganism among Arabs, which tbh is not always the easiest thing. But with every item on their menu under $10 except for one, Eat Nabati makes the good old food we know and love affordably and with no compromise. Running through the 6ix with your woes? Vegans can’t relate.
