Food Barn is the Cutest Little Grocery Shop that Makes their Own Products

Started by two brothers, Food Barn is the little shop selling their family business’s food products.

Making a name for themselves as the cutest little supermarket in town, Food Barn is the family-run foods store launched by two brothers during Corona-time. That’s not the main catch, though, the real point of interest is that everything they stock…they’ve made themselves.

Although siblings Karim and Omar Maamoun were the ones to launch Food Barn, this lil shop is technically just a B2C extension of their family’s business—  B2B food companies Roasty and Montana, which service restaurants and other establishments.

It’s no surprise that food vendors that sell to businesses offer premium quality that you just can’t find in mass-manufactured grocery store products. “The idea is to provide a premium product without paying premium prices,” said Karim, co-founder of Food Barn.

“After Corona showed up we saw an opportunity to enter the market, as our business was affected by the pandemic. At home, we always eat our family business’s food products and our friends always commented how good the food was and how they would never be able to find this kind of stuff in the supermarket,” Karim added.

While they mostly sell vegetable and poultry products at the moment, like chicken strips, molokhia, broccoli, and Cordon Bleu, Food Barn wants to expand the two mother companies’ product range so that the shop can be more encompassing of all the groceries people need to buy, and they plan on starting with adding more beef products.

The shop is currently only delivery-based, with plans to even open their own restaurant location next year in Sahel. To shop their products, visit their Instagram or Facebook pages or message them on WhatsApp through +2 012 222 11113.
