How Turcia Revolutionised the Way We Eat Turkish Food
Nobody else was around in Om El Donia when they started serving Turkish realness, and we're super grateful for that.
Vegetable-rich, grill-friendly, gently-spiced-yet-full-flavored Turkish food has never built a rep in Cairo like Lebanese, Moroccan, or even Syrian cuisines (hey fattah). But once you taste the extra depth and creaminess in a bowl of yogurty cacık, there's no going back to tommeya (sorry, not sorry). Few cultures have greater fluency with kebabs, and Turkish bread-baking is just as sophisticated as French or Italian. This is why we want to take a moment and give appreciate to Turcia.
The food at Turcia
It's safe to say that Turcia revolutionised the way we see, eat and order Turkish food in Cairo. Nobody else was around in Om El Donia when they started serving Turkish realness, and we're super grateful for that. What makes their menu stand out is that, unlike other restaurants, they serve Chicken almond, Beef Dag , and Beef Ribs. Don't be startled, however, because Turcia also has time for all the classics like Tasty Kebab, Tuzda Tavuk, and Tuzda Kuzu Kol.
With two branches across Cairo, one in the east and the other in the west, there's honestly no excuse not to have Turkish food every week.
