Egypt to Attempt to Break Record for Longest Ever Ramadan Iftar Table
The current record is held by UAE, which hosted a 2,893-metre Iftar table just last year.
The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) has announced that it will host the longest Ramadan Iftar table in the world, as reported by Egypt Today. Set in June 2018, the Guinness World Record is currently held by the UAE-based Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, which hosted an Iftar with a table that extended 2,893.64 meters, hosting 6,000 people from across the UAE.
The Iftar is set for the second half of Ramadan, sometime during the last 15 days, and will welcome people from all across Egypt to join the record-breaking event. Egypt had previously held the record with a set-up in Alexandria during Ramadan 2015.
