This UK Restaurant Will Make You Fulfill All Your Koshary Fantasies
Wait, what? Did you say koshary with cauliflower rice?
Aug 21, 2019
We always thought of koshary as an unstoppable force of nature which should not be tampered with. Then we saw what Koshary Kitchen are doing in London and we might've just begun to change our minds about that. The UK restaurant was founded by Egyptian restaurateur Ramy Amir in 2015, and have been successfully representing Egyptian culture and cuisine abroad.
What they've done differently is that they took something very special and added other equally beautiful ingredients to it, which resulted in mesmerising creations. So simple, yet so complex. In all honesty, we think that it's great to experiment and take something which was once traditional and have your own spin on it -- (te7ot el touch beta3ak).
Without further ado, we give you Koshary Kitchen's ingenious dishes that will make you gasp and drool at the same time.
Koshary with Cauliflower rice
We personally love carbs, but we wouldn't mind trying this alternative.
Ingredients: Cauliflower rice, zucchini noodles, lentils, tomato sauce, fried onions, garlic sauce
Koshary with Merguez Sausages
We always used to say that koshary is a hearty dish. Now, all we can say is "DAAYUUM!"
Ingredients: Whole grain rice, Merguez sausages, lentils, tomato sauce, fried onions, garlic sauce
Koshary with Shrimps
Let's dive into that plate of koshary and shrimps. Get it? Diiiveee...
Ingredients: Rice, pasta, grilled shrimps, lentils, tomato sauce, fried onions, garlic sauce
Koshary with Okra & Carrot Stew
Hmmm. We have no idea how this may turn out tbh, but it's definitely groundbreaking.
Ingredients: Whole grain rice, okra, carrot stew, lentils, tomato sauce, fried onions, garlic sauce
Koshary with Chicken
We can start a whole argument about what to eat first; the Koshary or the chicken.
Ingredients: Rice, pasta, pulled chicken, lentils, tomato sauce, fried onions, garlic sauce
Koshary with Meatballs
If you take a step back, these meatballs look like abnormally large lentils. We really do adore lentils.
Ingredients: Whole grain rice, baked beef meatballs, lentils, tomato sauce, fried onions, garlic sauce
