Naomi Brings Luxury and Affordability to Premium Steak and Sushi
Gold wagyu beef and Norwegian salmon pairs up in Cairo’s newest eatery.
There are a number of food couplings we ship intensely, from PB&J and cookies and cream, to eggs and toast. But one of our favs by far has to be steak and sushi. This seemingly random food couple is laced with graceful notes of flavour unparalleled to eating each dish alone, and we honestly stan. Bringing some love to this pairing to Cairo, Naomi is the steak and sushi bar we can’t wait to try.

The first restaurant to bring the Japanese Robatayaki grill into Egypt, the eatery can’t be reduced to your run-of-the-mill sushi joint. “Steak and sushi isn’t very present in the Cairo food scene. We aren’t like a normal sushi restaurant, we provide variety. But we’re a full steakhouse at the same time. We work with black angus, wagyu, and tomahawk imported high-quality beef that isn’t available anywhere except hotels,” Mohamed Ghonaimy, one of the founding partners told us. Although the eatery serves premium beef cuts, and even coats it in 24 karat gold, they don’t place the hefty price tags of hotel restaurants on their menu items. For their sushi selections, they work with high-grade Norwegian salmon and tuna and import the rest of their fish from the US. Their head chef, Mohamed El Banna, is one of the most renowned in the country, having travelled the world for work. If that doesn’t say premium quality, we’re not sure what does.
